It might help if you actually tell people which school it is!

Actualy thought there mite be sum web site out there that lists the numbers really not people personally , wanted to find out the statistics . A - how many peps appealed and b - how many won perhaps didn't explain my self properly . Sorry !! It's glebe primary stoke on Trent

Have you tried a google search?

I would say looking at the data on the Stoke site that the answer is there are not many appeals for the school. They have 190 pupils for a 210 net capacity and for SEpt 2011 entry they had 30 first preferences and a total of 60 odd preferences in total. 30 places were offered up to the PAN of 30, so my guess would be very few appeals last year.
How many won generally will be low as a 30 admission number would bring it in as an infant class size appeal, so only mistakes by the LA are likely to end up as successful appeals.

With our appeals letter it said in the last 3 years all appeals that were due to Infant class sizes there was a 0% success rate - great incentive to try and fight to get my son into his catchment school!

sorry this was for Trafford

Thanks for that , does the pan mean they got no more room for any more children . My daughter has difficulty with eating and currrently receives one to one care at lunch time to suport her. I have contacted 2 other schools locAlly one been her allocated school and they can't make these provisions . Would this help my appeal ? Do i just document this on my papers ? X

Hi admissions, with them having a net capacity 210 but only having 190 does this mean there is room for more children ?Xx

It means the school is not full. However if it is an infant class size appeal I'm afraid that isn't relevant. Spaces in other years don't allow them to admit more children to Reception.

Jude - does she have a statement?

Does she need 1:1 care any other time of the day or just with eating?

As well as appealing for the school you might be best applying for a statement....

juedanlil · 18/05/2012 20:59

Hi no not at any other time just with eating she needs suport , she was under first steps psychologists and children's center but the school took over and look after her needs now . She will only eat at home and at school now , her diet it very limited but we are happy we can send
her to school knowing she will eat enuf to get by . I believe to move her now to somewhere with out this suport would be detrimental to her well been and health. X
