Offered a place at 1st choice school but paranoid....

DS has been offered a place at 1st choice catchment school. From what others have said I suspect it was a pretty close thing.

I'm slightly paranoid now that if others appeal and the appeals are upheld then my DS will get bumped out. Does anyone know if this happens? Or is it the case that now he's been offered a place he definitely has it?

Anyone know?

They cannot withdraw an offer once it's been made.

Thanks for that. I may actually get some sleep tonight then!

I know the feeling - I ended up phoning admissions to check it wasn't a mistake because I couldn't relax!

netime · 27/04/2012 20:17

as potteringalong says they can not withdraw an offer once its been made x

If the appeals are upheld, then the class will just have more than 30 kids in it.

As IndigoBell says, a successful appeal simply increases the number of children admitted. You won't lose your place.

Unless of course you have lied about where you live Wink

Thanks for the reassurance everyone.

Lee how very dare you insinuate such immorality!
