Manchester has sent decision letters early by mistake

And nearly everyone at my DC's nursery got a letter this morning. Letters are dated tomorrow, which were meant to be posted tomorrow 2nd class post.

People who applied online were meant to find out first (i.e. tomorrow a.m.) and I havent got a letter.

Arrrgh. Frustrated to say the least.

yes - I have just seen a friend and she had her letter this morning (but dated today) She applied on line though so isn't sure how she ended up with letter!

We're not in Manchester, but we were notified both by email and letter.

Yes, you get both - email first and then letter shortly after. The point is that allocations (both email and letter) were not due to go out until tomorrow.

Frustrating? Yes

Will it make a difference to which school you get? No :-)

kilmuir · 26/04/2012 19:58

not sure why its frustrating?

Feels like a non-issue to me. If the letters have gone out, you can log-on anyway as the information will be there even if you haven't had an email. Rather think you should be thanking them tbh.

arrrghhhhwaiting - assume you got an email/letter and got a place?

I noticed the same thing however it appeared that those who received their letters on Thurs were offered school places. Others like myself had to wait for the email on 27th and then found out we didn't get a place - our letter finally arrived yesterday (sent 2nd class on 27th).

Hope you got a school place
