Hi...........I am trying out how best to celebrate my son's 12 th birthday in a somewhat innovative way ( i.e no bowling or movie). Looked at go-karting and at 39 quid per kid - its way too expensive. We live in West Hampstead so something not very far from here would also be a consideration. Thanks !

DO you have a water park nearby? My Ds1 took two mates to one in Stoke on Trent (no use in London but there must be a simlar one?) fr a day and they had a really good time. Cost about £10 a head plus grim over-expensive fast food lunch.

Climbing? Our indoor climbing place does parties as does the dry slope ski slope.

I've looked in to karting for DD and it is expensive.

i managed to take mine karting on a wednesday which was half price. max 8 kids, so it was just about affordable...

there's one in Edmonton

laser parties are just so "eleven" Wink.

DS did "combat games"for his twelfth. Wants to do paintballing next but I've nixed it, paintball hurts & some of his friends are still kinda small. Plus I've told him no big party again until he's 14.
Go Ape would be good too, if we lived closer to one, or something like Abseiling.

Thanks everyone...some really super ideas in there.....laser party, water park, climbing, karting at Edmonton, combat games....I am going to explore all and am pretty sure will find one that suits. Thank you so much !
