Opinions on The Roche School, Wandsworth, London?

Hi,
I am wondering about The Roche for my son age 6. Does anyone have experience of this school? Opinions please!

summernow, they do have three nurseries but one of them is in Fulham, so most children from there go on to Fulham / Chelsea based prep schools rather than drive over to Wandsworth. I think many children from the other Roche nurseries continue at the Roche, while others may switch to a pre-prep or outstanding state schools if they can get in. There are a lot of very good prep schools in that area so that probably what explains why some nursery children end up at other schools. The nurseries themselves are absolutely fantastic and I hear very good things about the school as well.

Hi all. I am 7 mths pregnant with my first and have been suitably freaked out by friends with older children (and the number of pregnant ladies in Putney at the moment!) to make me look in to this now! I have been around Prospect House laready and really liked it. (They said they have a pregnant lady on most show arounds!) Will def register DS-to-be there - all being well! I also like the look of Roche and hear great things from friends. Amazing Ofsted too. Will be going round there and also Merlin later in the year - post birth! Two questions - 1. Hurlingham seems to me to be a better school for girls than boys - would that be a fair comment? 2. If you choose Merlin and don't get your son into Colet Court, KCS etc, what happens to him?! Thanks!

It's the most caring and kind school which caters for kids who get scholarships to Kings or at the other end of the spectrum.
