Wolvercote parents, how you manage this in 2010?

Have one older sibling place at the school, live 0.4 miles away, put as 1st preference, application acknowledged complete and on-time.

School oversubscribed. Living 0.4 miles away just isn't close enough. Allocated a school in special measures. 2.2 miles from our home. Local authority have said that transport will be provided....

How many other families are affected? I fought and won for a bulge class where I live but I tracked down every other family involved before I started the appeal. We were all over the LA and the process like a rash...

I heard that Wolvercote children get preference when applying to Cherwell. Maybe that's why it's become so popular.
Don't know what the answer to the problem is though. Sorry.
