Primary School Places - Muswell Hill

Hello,

I have been given no primary school place for September and I know that several of my neighbours are in the same position. I am organising letters to councillors and MP because clearly there are not enough school places in our area. Did anyone else in Muswell Hill area get no school offer? I'm wondering whether we might have strength in numbers!!

If there are a significant number of children without places in the area I think an additional class should be added to one of the more popular primary schools.

I also think that perhaps some of the religious schools in the area (there are three out of the seven schools within 1 mile of my flat) should be encouraged to take in more local children in this situation. It does seem rather unfair that children from outside the borough should take priority over children in the next street?

Assume you're aware the MH primary schools have already all added classes in the last few years? Couldn't agree more about the religious ones, mind.

you wernt even offered a school in Tottenham? i know in crouch end there is lots of movement on waiting lists, are you on any in your area? would be interesting to hear what happened to kids last year when this happened,did they get places.
