Does primary school choice limit secondary school options?

There is a very small independent school near us, that has a montessori approach, and has a very small number of pupils (72 age 3-16).

We are considering it for primary school age for our youngest, it gets good educational results (probably due to size and nature of pupils) but it's the ethos we particularly like.

However, we want a more traditional senior school environment (Milton Abbey). Do senior schools rule out children based on their previous school?

So not on the child's ability but as to which school they went to?

If the senior school is in the state sector it cannot rule out children based on their previous school. It can give priority to children from some schools but it cannot refuse to admit a child just because they don't like the primary school they attended.

Sorry should have stated - independent senior school.

Also, I'm presuming that as on application forms for jobs you only put which school you get your GCSE/A Levels at, the primary school does not have an impact on that?
