Merlin/Eaton House the Manor for boys/Caldicott

Can anyone share their experiences of these schools for a boy?
Want to keep options open as to next stage - DS is still nursery age.
Interested in viability of commute from Fulham to Eaton House the Manor in car or school bus and whether this is too much for a child of Reception age?
DD is at school walking distance from home so currently spoiled.
Similarly does anyone have experience of the school bus from Brook Green to Caldicott? Would love to know how this is for the boys (and parents) and how many do it from 7+ or 8+ from London.
All insights greatly appreciated.

Hi. I think it's not just about the commute. It's play dates, parties etc. you are going to spend a lot of time in traffic by not going local. Friends of mine who went south of the river ( but live north of it) all comment that their DCs have few local friends and rarely get invited on play dates etc by school friends and if they do the driving around is a real pain. are your local options really that bad? I would also consider % day vs boarders at Caldicott. And finally do you want to do 11+ (merlin) or 13+(eaton house and Caldicott). Do you want day or boarding for secondary? If you want London day, Caldicott may not be your best option as it is quite boarding focused. Check out leavers destinations for each school. It's worth saving a plan!! Good luck.

There are many boys from Fulham hopping on the bus to Clapham so I think it's no problem in terms of playdates. They just pick them up and drop the off right next to the Parsons Green. I see lots of Eaton House uniforms around Fulham / Parsons Green because of the school bus to Belgravia and Clapham.
