when do you find out about primary application 2012

we are in london waiting to hear the outcome of our primary application for reception place which is meant to be announced on april 18. However, i heard this morning from another mum it has been moved forward to april 4. !!??

i assumed april 18 was a national date so am just wondering when others are hearing, espec those of you in London boroughs. thanks.

Is it not on your councils website? Best to get it direct.

We heard on Friday in Kent so it varies from area to area.

But we don 't find out till the 18th either.

The national date for primaries doesn't apply yet - I think it will be 16th April and start in 2014.

We heard on friday, which is a bit daft if you want to get on with waiting lists and so on as the schools broke up for 2 weeks on friday!

We hear on the 20th here in Oxon. I would be very surprised if the date had been brought forward OP, check your local website, ours has a time line of important dates, very useful!

yes road kill a timeline would be sensible,,,,sadly our council doesnt seem to work like that! it still says 18th. it would be v odd to bring it forward- think its the rumour mill working overdrive!

It's the 18th in Essex as well, I'm counting down the days and keeping everything crossed!

20th April here too. Do the individual schools already know who has got a place? Or do they find out the same time as parents? I am still not entirely sure how it all works, and who ultimately decides? Head? Governors? Some overworked poorly paid official in county hall? I just want to be put out of my hopeful misery!
