DS has come home with some Maths to do over the Easter holidays- "No More Than 10 Minutes a Day" written in big letters on the front of the folder. For complicated reasons connected to the secondary school he's going to he needs to get the highest SATS scores he can- can anyone recommend a website with practice for kids already a level 5 but who need keeping on track and reminding about punctuation and things? Can't believe i'm doing this......!

The preparation should have taken place over the last seven year and trying to cram it in at the last minute can be counter productive so I agree with pointythings a holiday will do more good

DS is just having a massive rant about how the SATs are a ploy by the govt to oppress children and make them all feel bad about themself :(

When he's prime minister for the socialist party they'll be the first thing he gets rid of.

I have a perverse son who loved tests and would happily do SATs everyday rather than what he considered work

DD2 had to sit out of P.E recently and told me that "It was great because I got to do some maths questions and because I finished them I got to do comprehension too! I think I'll get injured a bit more often!" said honestly and innocently. God love her Grin

Iamnot sounds like me - was so (deliberately) bad at sewing at school that I was allowed to do extra French - tee hee.

And my ds has been loving missing PE to do extension maths...

Not everyone loves games and hates academia...
