How do I find a good tutor

Ds 6 tomorrow will be moving back to the UK in a few months and before he starts his new school in September we would like to find a tutor for him as he is quite a way behind the UK education system and is missing things other children his age know. I have seen many webiste advertising tutors - but what specifially am I looking for in terms of qualifications etc. How do I know if they are any good, are any webisted better than others? Any advice welcome. Should say I have posted this in Educations as I wasn't sure which was the correct place for it.

Ask the school he will be attending. As a teacher we often know tutors who will teach your child while following the way things are done in school as they used to work there etc. Often teachers that work part time , maternity leave, substituting etc will do some tutoring so they know what methods the child is taught in the school and can be more effective.
