Ask your school for a copy of the calculation policy, all schools generally have one these days. The column method starts to be introduced in year 3, in most schools. The sharing of levels does vary school by school, the main thing is helping your child to meet there targets. Sometimes parents get too hung up on levels and not enough on plugging the gaps in the Childs learning. After all levels are very subjective. The nc levels were not meant to be split into a b c, just single levels.

Thanks nmason that's useful. I have a list of 5 targets at the moment so I'll just work through them.
