When's your Y6's bedtime?

Assuming they've been awake since 6.45-7am, school's 8.30 to 3 and the evening may or may not have had an activity (Cubs or one night a week's tutoring).

Note I'm talking about 'normal range' DCs here, so this scenario:
"Up at 5.15, muck out the horses, ride til 7, half hour flute practice, school at 8.15, sport from 4-6.30, homework 7.15 til 9.30, relaxation/family time, then bed at 9.45pm..." ain't us! So it's not a competition!

FWIW, DS2 (10.5) gets into bed at 8.30pm and reads til 8.45-50pm, then lights out.

Just curious about yours!

As a mean mum who makes her dd (nearly 10) go to bed much earlier than all pervious posters (7.30 on a school night, 8.00 at weekends), can I ask, what do the dcs DO if they stay up later? Mine would just want to watch TV but there's no way I'm giving up my Eastenders/Corrie time

whatarewedoingtoday ..he plays on the computer, potters around, snuggles up for a chat interrupts whatever I'm watching and can take an hour to do his teeth and get PJs on, having got sidetracked into setting up some ambitious lego tableau..

whatarewedoingtoday mine are busy with activities. Eg tonight DD and DS2 have gymclass from 6-7 so we get home from that 7.30 and then have tea (it's that or 5pm); yesterday Scouts till 9.30; Weds DS2 Cubs till 8 and DD Guides till 9; Tues Play rehearsal till 9pm. You get the picture. I agree startail that activities get later as they get older.

DS 10 in Yr 5 - Reading 9ish and lights out at half past 9...In theory. He still wants me to sing him a song. After all these years I have gone through the whole West End repertoire! So lights out at 9:45 really. The whole family, DH, DS and Dear Me wake up at 8 Blush. When he starts secondary we are in for a BIG shock.

DS is up at half 7 school at 8.50 till 3.30 after school activity ie rounders tag rugby etc till 4.30 scouts 6.30 till 8.30 supper in bed and reading till 9.30.

If he was up at 5 he wouldn't make it to scouts. My DS likes his sleep.
