DS (7) scored 0.6 on DEST. Has just done DST as progress in literacy slow but he's 'lower end of average'.

In DST scored 0.5 (imrovement?) but highlighted slight weaknesses in semantic fluency, auditory memory and naming pictures rapidly.

It's been stated he has poor working memory and would benefit from procision teaching to help with letter reversal/ recognition with b,d and p.

He has made a sublevel progress in reading in Aut term (2B-2A) but his writing is still 2B (teacher says he is almost 2A but unlikely to reach 3 by end of summer term) He is working really hard though bless him. Smile

I would like some advice about some fun things I can do with him at home to help him with his weak areas.

They are monitoring atm and will consider if he needs to go on SEN register.

Thankyou
