HELP! - What are National Curriculum Levels????

Can anyone please direct me to a website which explains these? I know that by ond KS1 meant to be at level 2 (?) but what are a,b and c about? Cannot find anything that is really clear and have parents evening tonight! Any help appreciated!

Are you new to Primary Education? Grin

At the end of year 2 kids are expected to be a level 2b for reading, writing, speaking and listening, science and maths. A 2b is slap-bang in the middle of a "Level 2", 2c is lower and 2a is higher, so anything at 2a or above is exceeding expectations. (after 2a it goes 3c, 3b, 3a, 4c, 4b...etc)
