I have an interview for a full time job at the school I currently work in. For interview, I have to teach a P4C lesson on any aspect of the science curriculum relevant to year 2. As I just returned from maternity leave four weeks ago, and now mostly teach year one, I'm feeling horribly out of the loop, and really need some topic suggestions. So far, I've been thinking perhaps something to do with life processes and living things, but that's as far as I've got!

I know my year 2 child is currently doing electricity?

Not sure what p4c is sorry so that will proabably be no help

Look at an investigation and the skills involved first, rather than worrying about the actual topic. If you teach Y1 you know that all schools sort the topics out over their own LTP, so you can't necessarily predict which topic might be relevant.
An exciting investigation would be my choice.

Shock [embarrassed] I missed the fact that you teach in the school already, so you must be able to find out more than an outsider.
