My son's school has a been asked by the local authority to consider applying for academy status, so they have sent all parents a fact sheet, and there is a meeting to discuss it next month.
I've read the information, but I still can't get a feel for the reality of it.
I wondered if anyone (parents or teachers) had any experience, or knowledge, or opinion, of changing to academy status? I'd be very grateful for any views.
