Primary School Fulham State Versus Private

Hello all!! We are a young family living in Fulham!!! Our little girl is one now and we like all London families are faced with the EDUCATION decision.

State versus Private
Which school to pick

I am really at a loss where to go from here and feel a little overwhelmed! My daughter is one so we have loads of time to thing about it but I would love to hear any advice from other families who have had some experience with the Fulham Education System, experiences of schools etc.

We are Catholic so we would prefer to go to the state route however i think it is unlikely we will get in.

If anyone had any advice on this minefield it would be greatly appreciated.

Would you definatly sent your child to private school if you could afford it?

We are in exactly the same position. My husband and I are moving to Fulham from Westminster in about a month. We have a little one year old boy and the "Education Decision" is definitely in the forefront of my mind.

You mentioned that you were worried about getting accepted within the Catholic schools. Can I ask why?

Also did you have any luck with the private school search?

taurustaurus - the Holy Cross school in Fulham is an excellent Catholic primary school. Why do you think you would not get in? You have plenty of time to start attending church ;-).

thanks for your emails! My concerns about not being able to get into these schools is that they are over subscribed! and priority is given to families and where they live relative to the church! I am not that close! anyhow we will try to get her in there! thanks for your advice all
