If you and your partner work full time, how much approximately do you think you spend, per child, on before / after school care and holiday care? (And where in the country roughly, are you, for comparison purposes)?

TIA

I only use it on the odd occasion but I know the price.

School charges - £4.50 for breakfast club (8am onwards) and £7.50 for aftercare until 6pm. £6.50 for aftercare until 5pm.

The holiday club run by the school 9-5 is £21 a day. Another local holiday club charges same for 8-6. Cheaper holiday care is available but for school hours only.

Town in Lancashire.

Scottish Highlands. Breakfast club is £3.50, Nursery wraparound £3.10 an hour, after school club £8.25 a day and holiday club £22.50 a day/£12 for 1/2 day.

I'm in South East, childcare prices in my town are very cheap for SE. Breakfast club is £2 from 8am, includes breakfast. Childminder is £3.50/hr after school and during holidays. Many CMs round here charge more.

Not working but wrap around care here (SE) is #11 if want 8-6; flat rate for breakfast club + pay hourly for after school club. Think playscheme currently #23 per day, no sibling discounts though.

North London. £1 for breakfast club and then £5 per hour/part of hour for after school.

We then use 2 options for holidays as DD loves both: local community centre which is £20 for breakfast club and up to 5.30pm (I think - DD never goes in that long); and Barracudas during Easter and 2 weeks in summer.

We can (and do) use childcare vouchers to pay for afterschool and for the holiday options.

North Wales:
Breakfast club from 8:10am: free
Afterschool club til 5pm £5 for first child £4 for second (cheaper if stay for less time)

Holiday club (age 3+, 8:15-5:30) £15 full day booked in advance, £20 on the day, or there is an outward bound type one £20ish, 9-5, age 8+

South East Wales; breakfast club free from 7.45am (breakfast itself £1 if wanted); after school care £4 until 4.30pm, £8 until 5.30pm and £10 if child stays until 6pm.
Haven't used holiday clubs yet so not sure how much.

I'm in the South East, just outside of London. Breakfast club at DD's school is £5 from 7.45am and after school club at the local nursery (they do the school pick up) is £20 for anytime up until 6.30pm. Holiday club at the same place is £35 a day. Not cheap!

In Derbyshire at our school breakfast club is £3 from 7.45 and after school club is £2.50 per hour.
