Ben takes 44 hours building an aeroplane.If he spends 4 hours a day working on it .
How many days did it take? 11 days
How many hours per day would he have to work if he wanted to finish it in 6 days??????

44 hours divided by 6 days = 7 hours 20 minutes a day

It takes him 44 hours to build the plane and he wants it to take 6 days.

So he would need to work 44/6 = 7 1/3 hours a day

The clue is in the question. "hours per day" means take your hours and divide it by the number of days.
If you bought 4 apples for £1 (i.e. 100 pence) and you wanted to know the price per apple you would divide the total (100 pence) by the number of apples. 100/4= 25 pence per apple.

Seven and a half hours a day.

7x6 = 42
leaves 2 hours or 180 minutes divided by 6 =30 or 30 mins per day
7 hours 30 mins per day.

"leaves 2 hours or 180 minutes"

Oops =P

Oops!! 60x2 is 120 not 180 , 120/6 =20! Sorry seven hours twenty minutes per day for six days.
