My dd (reception), has started coming home with these reading books. I think they are really good, in that they are decodeable. However, they seem to be quite a lot harder than the other books she gets within her reading level (yellow). Has anyone else had these and what do you think?

They should be fine - as long as she has covered the phonics within the book :)

The books she has now focus on phase 5 phonics (a_e, ea etc.), but they are still doing phase 3 at school. This is i suppose making her learn those too, but is quite a lot for her to think about.
