Has anyone on the forum got some advice for me as to where to get past papers from so i can see if my son needs any help? id just like to see what its all about really..

Many thanks

He's assessed by his teacher on how he performs day to day and this is the level reported

Tasks
and tests are designed to help inform the final teacher assessment judgement reported for
each child at the end of Key Stage 1.
If teacher assessment and task and test results differ, the teacher assessment results should
be reported, provided the judgement is based on an appropriate range of evidence from
work completed in class. Schools are not obliged to report task or test results.

As mrz says, the only level reported to you is the teacher assessment. Your ds will have been constantly assessed in different ways since September. The teacher must use a task or test as a small part of the evidence 'jigsaw', but can use them any time, not just in May.

DS (also yr2) did a test (his words) on thursday last week.

When I asked him what the "test" was on he said "teeth" Grin

I can only assume it was a comprehension test/exercise on teeth Grin

SATS not says!

Our school has not had a workshop on SATS they did have one on phonics the other week (which was a pile of poo IMO) so I won't hold my breath!!!

I do know that the HT believes very strongly that they are no big deal and does not want the kids told they are doing a test until just before it happens (which I agree with).
