There's also Wix (north side of Clapham Common) which has both a junior department of the Lycee and a co-located bilingual school (admissions run by Wandsworth) but the last I heard was that it was dreadfully oversubscribed so I don't know if you'd have a hope from Wimbledon. But it might be worth having a look.

Hi. Sorry will not be adding much to help. Except to say we are almost in the same boat as we have applied a long time ago with some French schools for our little one and remain on waiting lists for over 2yrs. But these are for the ones in more central london.

I think you will find most schools quite far, but they usually have some kind of transport, for which your little may be too young to travel so far - like us.

As you know, the South Ken Lycee opens applications for 10 days in May, I cannot clearly see if they have a waiting list or not, but assume they do. Only Fulham and Clapham are bilingual. We once visited the one in Ealing (which is French) and it was not as oversubscribed as the others - infact the head said they had space even at that time. But it's just too far away. The bilingual school that is walking distance from us seems we've been waiting forever. Our best hope for now is the new one in Kentish Town (still quite far for us), which closes subscriptions on the 24 February, but there is no waiting list so you will not be after people who registered their little ones since birth. I confirmed this with the head when they had an open day. But that is also way too far for you. Those are the only schools I know worth a shot.

Good luck anyway.

Have you looked into l"Ecole des Petits in Fulham as well as Battersea? They are heavily oversubscribed, though.
