And that area between the High Street and Clapton - Brooke Roady type neck of woods? Nice place to live and go to school???

It's a great place to live - I've lived near Benthal School for about 12 years. It's very friendly, and I love it. I don't know about the schools though - we have a 3 year old so we're trying to decide about schools too. The children in our road all go to Benthal and their parents say it's brilliant (and the children seem to be an articulate and confident bunch). V good head, good social mix, good teachers. We're going on a school tour in a couple of weeks and keeping our figures crossed that we like it!

Good luck - hope your offer is accepted! It's a great area - near the farmers market, near enough to Church St/High St, v near playgrounds. Lots of friendly people - it's the first place I've lived in London where our neighbours on both sides have spare keys to our house, water the garden when we go away, and people generally do "neighbourly" things!
