Hello. This is my 1st posting but I'm on the waiting list for Queens Gate prep with DD1 and just wondered if anyone has received an offer of a place from the waiting list yet...? I know the deadline was yesterday for normal offers to have been accepted or declined. I'm just sitting here holding my breath & waiting on this waiting list!!!
Does anyone have any info on the protocol? When are we likely to hear?
Thank you to anyone with any experience or feedback.

Hi, my daughter goes to QG - is a lovely school. Have you heard about the waiting list place? Give a call to Ms Webb the Headmistress or ask for a meeting if you are keen.
I cannot recommend the school high enough - I know some people think is too nurturing and not academic enough, but it is not true. My child is an August baby, when we first got into QG it was not my first choice of school and I was crushed she had not gotten in another school. But now, she is in year 2, she is the youngest yet top of her class - they cater to her abilities and so she gets special more advanced work on Maths and English (she reads at a much advance age) and so she gets library books and True stories for 7 and 8 year old. While other children in her class, who might struggle or need more help get the attention. Nobody is made to feel bad. So far all the teachers and teacher assistants we have encountered are of the highest quality. For the sake of comparison, I took her to these other schools for the 7+ entrance exam and she was offered a place in two highly competitive schools..... (one of them a school where people give their right arm for their daughter to attend) This clearly shows that the academic side of QG is up there with these schools. Yet, she loves her school, teachers and friends - every morning she skips to school!, she misses it when on hols and really looks forward to her homework and activities at school, that we thought the best decision is to keep her there where she is happy and thriving......

The senior school is a different matter - but she is only 6, so we will worry about this later.

Hello! I'm so sorry - I have only just seen your PM reply. For some reason I didn't get an email prompt. Anyway, after a re-assessment and a l-o-n-g wait we did finally get a place at QG and I'm thrilled!! It seems such a lovely school and it's great to hear your positive and encouraging feedback. I couldn't ask for more than you described to be honest. So thank you. I'm really looking forward to my DD1 starting there in Sept!!!
