Primary Schools in Forest Hill

Does anyone live in Forest Hill that could help advise on the Primary schools? We're thinking of moving there, the ofsted reports don't look great, but they are all really old reports. Any knowledge on schools/general suitability for young families in Forest Hill would be great? Thanks xx

do you mean se23? which ones are you looking at?

Sop76 · 27/01/2012 13:58

Yes SE23. Dalmain, Stillness, Kilmorie. We haven't actually found a house yet, just thinking about the area (currently in Tooting). Just wondered which were the ones to look out for and avoid (if any). Thanks xx

Thanks - sorry didn't recognise your description of the area from the Ofsted reports - since one of those schools is outstanding and another good with many outstanding features I'm not sure quite what you're reading (and then there's Rathfern, Fairlawn, Horniman etc, none of which have terrible Ofsteds either). But I can pm if you if you want to know more - my dd is at Dalmain, and we're very happy with it while friends are equally happy with the other two schools.

Most of them seem really rather splendid. My daughters are at a different school from Sleepinbunny's and are doing very well.

Sorry I didn't mean Stillness - I hadn't looked at that one. Kilmorie looked like it was being monitored as a grade 3 school and Perrymount was the other grade 3 school that had a good house near. Great to hear your son is getting on well at Dalmain as that is close to a good house too. Have you lived FH long? Do you enjoy it?

Which school are you daughters at motherinferior. Not knowing the area well it's hard to look - all I have is rightmove to inform me! But I'm going this afternoon to look around. xx

My daughters are at Kilmorie. They are both doing extremely well at the moment.
