Could you please tell me of any reputable organisations that supply standardised tests to primary schools (state or private)? I have heard of QCA (?) but cannot find a link on the internet - is it defunct? What others are there and what do you recommend?

QCDA is now defunct (or will be soon, March 2012 I think) - It's now done by the Standards and Testing Agency, part of DfE - the latest info is here

For informal assessment purposes my school uses Rising Stars assessments if that helps

Thanks, BetsyBoop!

Any more?

Nfer tests are used by local authorities/government, our year 4's are tested each year-although we aren't sent the results!

NFER -

What do you want to find out? Reading age, spelling age, national curriculum level?

There are several companies that supply standardised spelling tests, Hodder and GL spring to mind!

I'm looking for tests that assess all literacy skills versus an age norm.
