Flexischooling - is it something you would consider?

I am considering approaching my daughter's headteacher about taking her out of school one day a week to home educate, but am a bit worried they will not be at all happy about it. My daughter has only just started Reception this year and I don't want to get a reputation as a troublemaker!

Any positive/negative experiences of flexischooling would be welcome...

Yes-and well done them. It was a great idea and kept the school and jobs. However most schools are over subscribed rather than in danger of closing.

I would be quite happy to work in that situation because there are 2 teachers and 33 children, if they are all there at once, which leaves plenty of time in the school day to plan and keep records on individual learning patterns.
I wouldn't be happy if I was hard pressed in a class of 30 and had to keep up with the one who was flexi.

It is a great idea but not viable in most schools.

LEAs differ and I'm not convinced that all give full funding.
