Hi guys my yr 1 dd has to do a moon project this week. she has to draw the shape of the moon every night this week. Being 5 she is so excited to have a project and our big problem now is that here in the lovely midlands at the mo its very cloudy and guess what we cant see the moon. I hope its not going to be like this all week. Any thoughts gratefully received.

Not really cheating. Look at the picture, go outside and if you can see the moon check it's the same as the picture. If you can't see it, just assume it's the same as the picture. There you go - done:)

Exactly... you just explained that better than me :)

I will say, we've been having some good vies of the moon in the daytime down in the S. East. - especially in the morning. Worth a look if your skies are clearer then.

DonnaDoon · 16/01/2012 18:04

ok will do ta :)

Also note that moon rise is VERY late at the moment - midnight or later - so the morning is the only time to see the moon without cheating! DD has the same homework, and we are doing it on the way to the childminders at 7.20 am each day.
