Why has the SEN code of practise been archived?

Does that mean schools are no longer following its recommendations? When or are schools expecting a new edition imminently?
Out of interest does your school adhere to SEN cop?

I'm sure that a new cop is due before the end of the month. Our head was discussing it at the full governing body meeting in december.
