I have recently moved to Didcot with a 1yo and now looking at schools.
Does anyone have any insight into any of the following : Manor school; Northbourne; Stephen Freeman and also Lydalls nursery.
Also what at the nearest prep schools and where do children from the area usually go on to secondary?
TIA for any help!

Manor has a good reputation - a couple of friends have DDs there, and are very happy with it. I don't know about the other schools - sorry. For secondary, Didcot Girls is the state school your DD would go to. No other options in the area as far as I know. There are three excellent private day schools for girls: St Helens (prob the most academic), Oxford high and Headington.

There are loads of prep schools in the area, eg our lady's Abingdon, cranford house. There are one or two you should steer clear of - pm me if you want details.
