My two year old has just written: "I think it's unhelpful to label the dog as lazy, he might just have learning difficulties. Perhaps a preferable adjective could be inert or stationary."

MigratingChestnutsOnAnOpenFire · 22/12/2011 19:23

mine has just translated it from the original hebrew where, it turns out 'lazy' is very closely related to the word 'inert'...so your little two year old may well have a point there panzee.

should point out my DD is 6 and not 2 so not nearly as gifted.

I read it then thought what ru asking? Blush then it clicked!

WOW, more than two words...
DS is in yr 1, he's a typical reluctant writer. he likes to be told how to spell words but if pushed to do it alone, thats about how he would write.

anthonytrollopesrevenge · 22/12/2011 21:31

My yr 1 dd is miles away from managing to produce so long or complicated a sentence. She is put off writing by her spelling, I'd be absolutely delighted if she wrote anything similar. She will only write if I spell everything out for her. I think this is largely because of her big brother who laughs at her and yes, it is an ongoing battle to get him to stop.

colditz · 24/12/2011 14:59

Ds2 is 5.8 and just wrote "the quik drown fox jumpt ofa the lazy bog"

TheAvocadoOfWisdom · 24/12/2011 15:50

:o colditz DS1 just read J as L today: we have letter reversal too.
