what band is average (if such a thing exists) to leave year one on.... or should i say what band means theyre doing fine ?

They are doing fine if they've got to level 1b or 1a which is book bands Green(5) to Turquoise(7). Ish. Very ish.

Although ds1 left year 1 on Pink(1) and is now on Green(5) after not quite a term in year 2, so progress isn't linear!

'through' is supposed to be 'roughly'

...not well at the moment, making my spelling even more strange!!
