Hi all, I am currently undertaking my teacher training specialising in early years/lower primary. Unfortunately my university have made a catalogue of errors and I am now in search of my own placement. :(

If you do know of any schools with mixed reception/year 1 classes in leicester, leicestershire or commutable from south leicestershire please let me know and I will be extremely grateful :)

Thank you

Good Luck I'm afraid my local school is too long a commute

I know of a school in Long Eaton which is Derbyshire, but not sure how long the commute would be?

long eaton is less than an hour's drive for me, which is very achievable :) look forward to hearing it's name :D

Thanks in advance

Hi

Its Dovedale School. It has a straight reception class and the mixed class. DS1 is about to start there so don't know much about it yet!

Good luck (may see you there!)

I think St Luke's in Thurnby has a mixed Y1 F2.

Great Gidding School is near Peterborough, so not a massive distance from you (depending on how far you are willing to travel). It combines foundation, year 1 and year 2 which seems to work really well for my DS
web site is www.greatgiddingschool.co.uk (if you do go to the website check out the staff page :o)

Haha - that Staff page is excellent Grin

Ours has children's drawings of the staff - I have rather scary red eyes and a nice flowered top that I've never seen in my life. I would post a link but don't want to out myself on MN Smile

Jooles999 · 04/12/2011 01:00

POST the link!

I had never dabbled with webpages before but decided to help the school by giving them a webpage. So with help of DS (age 4) we kinda did it.

It's brilliant Jooles Grin
(but I'm still not showing you mine)

Jooles999 · 04/12/2011 11:38

Thankyou LemonM.
Im sure the flowery top suits you! Xmas Grin
