When did your child stop reversing letters/ numbers?

Just that really.

my ds had problems with number 6 for ages. (y3? can't remember) He is very good at mental maths but writing the numbers down was tricky.
One day I asked him to draw a picture made up entirely of number 6's. He really got into it - spaceships robot wars 6 shaped laser firing etc. It really improved after that.
