West End primary schools in Glasgow

I lived for 7 years in the West End but moved out 4 1/2 years ago after having my son. Now we are moving back in. We're getting a flat around the Hyndland area and Harris will go to a school somewhere there. What is Hyndland Primary like? I've been learning Gaelic so quite keen on the Gaelic School. Does Harris need to have started Gaelic before going into primary 1?
Also, I work in Stirling and my partner works in Glasgow but wouldn't be back in time to collect Haris from school. Do some schools have after school clubs? Pupils get perhaps a snack and then one of us can collect him around 5.30pm? What's the time scale on enrolling as well? Lots of questions!!:o

Hyndland in a good primary and feeds into Hyndland secondary which is excellent..
I have friends who use the Gaelic school - it has an excellent reputation. Don't think you need to have started the Gaelic at p1. I would call the school about the application. You need to apply at the very start of January for Hyndland - call the school and they will tell you their dates to enroll.
Am sure Hyndland has after care, shares it with notre d I think.
