Hi,
My son (2 and a half) and I have an appointment with a Montessori school Headmistress in the spring. Have any of you attended a school interview (Montessori elementary) and could tell us what we should expect?

thanks

Just went to Montessori elementary interview. DS is 4 .We were shown around classroom and allowed to sit in and watch the class. We were shown the equipment and told how it all worked.DS then went to music area checked out all the instruments and just sort of roamed the room looking at what was going on.

On arrival DS felt very shy. Once comfortable and chatting away to teacher she said I should leave and come back at lunch time.He had a lovely morning, was happy to stay, and has asked when he can go back. The teacher was warm and the vibe just so so lovely.

I love the Montessori ethos but worry about where it will leave him at 12 when they leave?

I hope this helps.
