my daughter (5 in feb) is still in nursery as no reception places are available, we are hoping a place becomes available after christmas, but was informed by the nursery school she attends that she may no be allowed back to the nursery after christmas as she will be too old!!...am i wrong in believing she can stay in nursery till the term after her 5th birthday as the admissions authority state she has to be in full time school at easter, or is it the term prior to their 5th birthday, the whole admissions thing has been a complete nightmare for us as we live out of town and didnt realise so much was involved in getting a child into school, we didnt even know we had a catchment school as they are all 2.3 to 2.5 miles away...
