Hi there

Does anyone have or know anyone who has children at this school? Moving to Herts and it appears we are in catchment so wondered what I could find out on here about the school. Has a good Ofsted report, but things they were pulled up on were things like inconsistency in teaching standards and pupils attainment levels - not so good!

Also, they have an intake of 45 pupils? Is this one form entry, two form entry or other Confused.

Thanks in advance

Hello - and welcome to BP!!

2 class entry - 22 & 23 - 'Elephants' and 'Tigers'.

Moved out of London specifically for this school and it is certainly proving to be worth it!

Happy to chat if you want more info.

Hello SVM!

Was just about to bump when I saw you had responded - yay!

Thanks for the offer of a chat. Will PM you later this morning, if that's OK?

Ooo, I went to this school (ok many moons ago,-1980's) It always had such an amazing reputation and stood me in good stead for my senior years, though we moved out of the village just before senior school. I've obviously no idea what it is like now, but in trying to emulate the education I received at BP for my own children, I've had to resort to private education. I lived in Peplins Way and had a most idyllic childhood growing up in BP, hope you all enjoy living there x

Hello Moo!

Thanks for posting your experiences with the school. Unfortunately, we will be in the less salubrious Potters Bar (Little Heath end though, ahem!) but my uncle lives in BP so I do actually know Peplins Way! We were keen on private education for our DS, living in North London as we currently do where the schools aren't so great, but its not now an option until year 3 at the earliest (for various reasons) and it seems we seriously underestimated the quality of some of the state schools in Herts. Fingers crossed we get BPS or similar (Little Heath School is also close to us but know little about it).

Thanks again x
