Also, it says in the text that Apples& Pears is designed to be amorerigorous version of Toe by Toe. Would you agree? Thanks

Apples and Pears is for spelling and Dancing Bears for reading

Toe be toe and dancing bears are both reading program's. I like dancing bears better but not everyone does.

They're both highly structured synthetic phonic program's. Dancing bears goes slower than toe by toe, and it also has timed tests at the end of each unit - can you read 4 words in x seconds type thing, and if you fail the test you're meant to repeat the unit. I think that's good. You do have to be able to read with some degree of fluency.

Also dancing bears comes in lots of versions so you can get the right one.

Apples and pears is a spelling program. I also like it. It again uses lots of repition to teach spellings.

You can look inside dancing bears and apples and pears on the website, so you can decide if you like it or not.

How old is your child? How is their reading? And how is their spelling?
