What makes a good TA?

If you could name 3 skills/qualities you would want a TA/LSA to have what would they be and why?

Wow this is all great information, has given me lots of ideas about my assignment. Jan you have made valid points something I am very aware of working with children with SEN is the importance of knowing when to step in and when to step back. This is something that I personally think LSA do not get enough training on this and why it is so important to read the signs and know the child you are working with. I am very aware in some circumstances that the child can become too dependant on the LSA and I hope that I do not do this and know when to step back.
