Hendon Prep School

Does anyone know about the school or have any kids there? We are currently living abroad and planning to come back next September when DS will be in Year 2 but are not happy with the primary schools near us so we are looking at other options until we know where we will be living permanently.

We visited the school about 4 years ago (looking for a nursery place then) and it seemed small & friendly but I'm wondering if it's changed since then. As we are living abroad we don't have the option of visiting it in the near future but would like to know if it's worth registering DS there or not.

Just seen this messasge. My son started just recently and I'm very pleased with it so far. They seem kind and academically focused and very international. It's small enough to be warm and friendly but also seems to be academically strong. I'd have no hesitation in recommending based on what I've seen to date.

My son went here for 5 years - loved every minute of it. Was like a very big family. They are very inclusive but also academically sound. I was very happy whilst we were there.

However, I did know it wasn't for all parents, and some people withdrew their kids. But there were very few of these.

It is very small, so facilities are limited but my DS doesn't seem to have suffered from it. He was very sad to leave and the other kids in his class were lovely, polite and bright.

It is a lovely school and would reccomend it. However if you did opt for another school, there are quite a few indies in Mill Hill such as St Martins also small. Another is Goodwyns and of course Belmont which are all great. There is also the hampstead schools and Highgate but IMO, go for Hendon. You saw it a few years ago and liked it . Go for it!
