My DS found it hard

My Dd was pretty unhappy when I collected her and is convinced she's done badly 😔 however, a couple of friends of mine reported that their Dds were really happy with it. Dd seems OK today, so we're not going to mention it, unless she brings it up

Mine found the first maths part really quite difficult - particularly the timings and didn’t finish all of those questions. The rest they said was ok-ish.

Penny786 · 08/09/2019 14:41

Yes I agree - maths was hard. He was really upset when I did collect him, to the point he was in tears, convinced he’s done badly. He had said that most of what he revised for maths were not on the paper. I think in general - it may have been a harder paper than all the mocks and practise papers.

We have decided not to mention it - although I know he will start to stress come October - what will be will be now

DD mentioned the maths too, there were a few things that weren't on the paper that she'd been expecting, so I think that might have thrown her. I'm not sure on the rest, as I don't want to dig too much. Oh well, roll on results day, no point in worrying now (not that that will stop me!!)

I think I dreamt about it all of last night 🙄 same as you both though, I’m not mentioning it! From this side it’s definitely the problem solving questions that seemed extremely tough...I’m not holding out much hope.

I'm not holding out much hope either. DD's desperate to go to Rugby High, but we have a load of open evenings in the next two weeks, so I'm really hoping that she's going to like at least other school, in the event of possibly disappointing results...

Penny786 · 08/09/2019 17:14

DS wasn’t impressed with North Leamington or Myton so I’m hoping he will like Kenilworth - ( he’s likes a strict environment) If results aren’t as good as we hoped then I’d rather he be prepared and open to going to the local school in Leam. Yes DS thought problem solving ones were harder than in previous mocks and papers he’s done.
