Hitherfield School Streatham- Parents opinions please

Greetings All,

I'm a newbie to Mumsnet seeking feedback on Hitherfield Primary as we're considering buying a house nearby and have a DS due to start school next September. The latest ofsted (only last year) wasn't exactly glowing but I've seen a bit of positive feedback online about the school. Also looking on the school's website it appears there are big plans afoot for redeveloping the school and raising it's profile in the area.
Is this a generally good school on the up or one that is worryingly inconsistnent? Views from parents of Hitherfield kids would be much appreciated..

I have friends who have DC there, and are very happy with the school and the children are doing well.

Which side of the school is your prospective house? Streatham Wells is also very well thought of.

My DD has just started there so I don't really have a full picture of the school as yet, but so far we are very happy.

Very well - and we are at secondary transfer stage - scary! (but only in terms of how time flies).

It sounds as if your dd is getting on fantastically.

Have you seen all the new fangled developments at That Nursery? Looks good.
