we are just buying a place in St Leonards and would love to hear recommendations from families in the know for state primary schools in and around central Exeter... St Leonards primary seems excellent but has no spaces for my little boy who would be entering in year 3 next September. Big thanks!

oh that is very good news to hear, thank you so much for your advice... it is tricky as we won't hear until after may half term if he has got in for next school year but you have given me hope,

Thanks again.

Do any mums in Exeter know (apart from St Leonards which seems great) of any other state primaries that they would recomment in central Exeter? Many thanks.

Not central but alphington primary is very good. Its the other side of the exe river.

My DS started at Stoke Hill Juniors this September and we've been pleased with it so far. It was important to us to find a school that wasn't C of E, which was a challenge in Exeter.

Thank you very much, it is so helpful to get feedback from families already in Exeter... I will look into those schools right away.
