dd (6) has to learn about pushes & pulls for homework. Any ideas as to how we can make this fun & interesting?

Was thinking about playing with magnets but grateful for any other ideas!

TIA

Switches and buttons, how many things can she turn on or off?

WoodBetweenTheWorlds · 24/09/2011 14:34

Oh, ok - hadn't thought of that either, but I'm sure there are plenty of things around the house that she can experiment on!

try sliding things on different surfaces, lino, tile, carpet, tarmac. Which is easier to push or pull. If she has smaller siblings then you could sit them in a box and push or pull them.

No smaller siblings, but plenty of cooperative teddy bears! Grin

Some brilliant ideas - thank you!

Go to the park! Swings, roundabouts, seesaws, etc.

drawers and doors

I was going to suggest the park too!

Great - more ideas! So, it's off to the park tomorrow! Yeah!

Play with some play dough and squash, squeeze, stretch and roll it.
