Not trusting DD teacher's marking

On her spelling test like week. My year 3 DD opened her book to realise that her new teacher had ticked off for the following.
There- crossed off for they're
Their- crossed of for their
They're- crossed off for their

On the first two she got ticks which were then crossed, something different from her teachers previous marks. She got the rest of the spellings right

Am I being paranoid or there might be something truly going on here?

Was she supposed to write they're but wrote there? Sorry but post not totally clear.
