can any irish speakers explain this worksheet to me please?

i feel very stupid but i just dont know what is being asked of the pupil.

top half of page: 3 picture bubbles
the 1st is of children playing in the schoolyard with
the words 'sa chlós' beside it.
the 2nd is of children in the PE hall with the words 'sa halla' beside it.
the 3rd is of children in the classroom with the words 'sa rang' beside it.

then below that 2 boxes, one with a picture of the teacher and the words 'an múinteoir' under it and the other with a picture of some pupils an the words 'na páistí' under it.

the finally it says "Tá an (picture of teacher) (blank space with line under it) ar scoil."

and then "Tá na (picture of pupils) (blank space with line under it) ar scoil."

i know what all the words are in english but i dont undersand what is supposed to be written in the blank space. this is year 2 and the class is doing 3 and 4 letter words as their reading homework so i doubt very much they are being asked to write múinteoir or páisti.

can anyone enlighten me? this came home last thursday and i told ds to ask his teacher to explain what she wanted him to do but he has forgotten and it has been sent home again with big red writing telling him to do it. i dont want to send him in again without it done. if i cant get my head round it tonight i will of course ask her in the morning but i thought i would try and get a response here first.

I think it simply means that you write the word for teacher and then the word for pupils in the blank spaces to complete the sentence?

that's the conclusion i came to aswell but múnteoir and páistí are quite difficult words for children that can't read and have only been used to writing 3/4 letter words, so that's what made me doubt myself.

In that case I would speak to the teacher or leave a note saying that your ds has tried his best but the homework appears to hard for him to complete and could she explain it better to him in class please.

Could it be that they are "i scoil", "ag scoil" etc?

just read the op again, obviously, is not as above.
can only presume it means to write múinteor/ páistí. DD1 is in first class and still hasn't got any Irish homework, so far just reading and spellings and sentences to write.

mmm I got an A in honour irish way back in the day and I cant figure it out, poor kids

me either, i have gcse irish, but it was a life time ago. i'm quite confuddled.
