Labeling socks?!

DS starting at the local prep (thanks a bunch, totally useless Loc Auth) and I have labelled everything apart from socks with a mix of sew on and iron on tags. What do you do for socks?

I started at a state grammar in 1962; our Greek-style gym tunics had to have our initials embroidered in chain stitch, in house colours, on the left breast

Lucky my mum was up to the job

I use the M&S labels. You text the name and they post them to you and change the phone. It's cheap. I line up the socks on the ironing table, put labels on the side of the foot, and iron for 15 seconds a sock repeat 3 times. It takes less then 5 minutes in total. Lasts all year.
